Physical Therapy

The physical therapy department at Trump Pavilion is dedicated to providing residents with individualized treatments to assist in the restoration of functioning. Various techniques and equipment are utilized so that residents may improve circulation, strengthen muscles, improve balance and encourage the return of functional abilities. Carefully supervised exercise and ambulation training provides the foundation for the resident's achievement of his/her optimal level of functioning.

Occupational Therapy

Our highly skilled staff includes New York State Licensed Occupational Therapists and certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. The focus of therapy is to maximize functional independence.

Residents participate in perceptual, sensory, and motor exercises as well as neuromuscular activities. Experienced professionals restore, reinforce and enhance performance of daily living activities such as dressing, grooming and homemaking. This to help residents return to productive living.

Speech-Language Pathology

Residents with communicative and/or swallowing disorders are evaluated and treated by New York State licensed, ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologists.

Experienced, caring clinicians work one-on-one with residents to improve speech, language, voice, cognition and swallowing. Individualized treatment programs are developed to maximize communication and swallowing function.

Special attention is given to tracheostomized and tube fed residents. Hearing impaired residents are treated by a licensed audiologist.
